The behaviour of "<<" and ">>" is quirky and mainly tied into playlists.
The handling is well defined for fixed duration tracks (and on demand )
but handling live streams is a bit odd since "<<" normally means - back
to start. If already at the start then play previous item in playlist -
however when playing a live stream "start" depends on how far LMS has
got into starting the stream.

Also using "rew" has a means to cancel skipback is not intuitive - if we
have skipped back then it should be ">>" to go forward to get back to
"live".

Taking all this into account - I've decided to put all "skip back"
functionality into context menu so it is all in one place and no change
to pre-DASH behaviour of "<<". So users will cancel skipback from
either context menu or just go back one level at LMS menu and press play
again.

As an aside I think I can replicate BBC functionality of "skip back to
start of current program" and if it works it will be another "skip back"
option in the context menu.
