Yes. It means that longer term there will need to be either a re-write
of Triode's plugin to use the later API or perhaps a cut down player
only version with no menu add-ins and the menus replaced by those from
the Official App.

It's been working fine for me for several months now. I only don't
provide it as a ready-made solution as I don't want to get into the
support nightmares I've seen every now and then... I have no idea how
the external helper works, nor do I have its code. Therefore I wouldn't
be in a position to give good advice, or even less fix any potential issue.
Or of course Michael could implement something that
allows the Official app to play on currently non-supported devices. That
