I've replaced my dead Squeezebox Duet receiver with a Raspberry Pi
running Squeezelite. I'm now unable to use it to connect to
Mysqueezebox.com or Pandora. I assume that if I can spoof the old
receiver's MAC address I'll be able to connect.

The squeezelite command has a -m option to allow specifying a MAC
address. If I don't use the -m option my local LMS sees it's MAC address
as 0:0:0:0:0:0, but if I use the -m option to specify the Duet's MAC
address LMS shows the Pi's actual wlan0 MAC address. Not what I wanted.

I've read that you can specify an R-Pi's MAC address by adding
"smsc95xx.macaddr=DESIRED-MAC-ADDRESS" to /boot/cmdline.txt but that
didn't work, nothing changed.

Ideas? Advice?

Details: Raspberry Pi 2 Model B running Raspbian v. 8 ("jessie") and
Squeezelite v. 1.8.1-704.
