I set it up LMS 7.8.0. on a Rasberry Pi. The official app connects to my premium spotify account fine but wont play on the Squeezbox Touch (well documented I believe).
Well documented what? That's pretty much a default configuration. Touch should play Spotify without any problem.
Are you sure you've finalized the Spotify setup on mysb.com? If in doubt, start from scratch. Remove the app, add username/password, activate the account using the link given on mysqueezebox.com.
Check your server's server.log file, too.
The Triode 3rd party app simply will not connect to my Spotify account at all.
