You can't. It is a simplistic plugin which hands over all playing to
ffmpeg.

Is your squeezelite player setup to play AAC natively ?

Can you give some more details on your Windows systems - specifically
the hardware processor and memory.  I have a theory that high end Window
systems (e.g. i7 processors) with multiple cores might be causing
problems with socketwrapper which is used when transcoding streams such
as AAC for Boom.
