The two SqueezePlay machines are connected in the same way. None of the
hardware devices see my server either. SqueezePlay can see all of the
clients too on both machines.

I turned off SqueezePlay, and it can no longer connect to the server on
either machine. There are no error messages in the server log.

Why has the option to specify a server ip address been removed from
SqueezePlay?
