Well - as I said, I am running LMS on a rather low powered Pogoplug E02 and it works, but everything is slowish. So there is no particular aspect I would like to make faster, but in general.
Did you tweak the memory settings in Settings/Advanced/Performance? Depending on what else you're running on the device you might try to give it a maximum memory option. I'm running a ReadyNAS Duo v2 which is similar in specs. And it's running quite fine.
Another issue could be slow I/O. If LMS has to read a lot from disk (memory card?), this can slow down even cached content.
