Not answering your question directly, but DSM 6 is a bit more than a maintenance release (it's a version upgrade).
As such, you may wish to read the Synology user support forum here https://forum.synology.com/enu/viewforum.php?f=267&sid=94f01680f37bfa2d03f5773ebb95d6d7 and decide whether you wish to upgrade or sit on the fence (as I am doing) until the next maintenance release.
