I ran LMS/Squeeze Server/Other on a Windows box for 8 years, I'm delighted to be finally free of the Windows environment for running my Squeezeboxen. I am also delighted that someone has put together a package that has made it so ridiculously simple for me to achieve this. The Max2Play image is completely free to download and use, the 10/£8/$11.5 I paid for a license gets me support if I need it, and the ability to use my HiFiBerry DACs.
