It would probably be easier to just foresee a duplicate librarie  in mp3
and a separate MusicIP pointing there.
You won't actually have mixing capabilities on your phone, as this app
leverages the mixing solution on your server to generate a static
playlist in the right order, allowing you to take it out of your network
reach.
What you're suggesting would necessitate manual editing of the m3u
playlist file to point to the mp3 files, deleting the FLAC files the app
synced to your phone and manually copying over the mp3's ...
You be the judge what will be the easiest long-time solution :)
