That is indeed the way it works. One caveat though: it's not really "importing" from server A to server B. MusicIP on server B actually scans all your music again, creating it's own library, but the process of scanning is immensely accellerated by the presence of the analysis tags. Another solution would be to make sure that file paths on server B are identical to server A (e.g. /mnt/music/AlbumArtist/Album/Track) and that both servers run the same version of MusicIP. This would enable you to just copy over the db from server A to server B and it would work as well.
