using your gmail account go to https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/youtube/overview click "Create a project" if you don't have any in the next screen, go to "credentials" click on "create credentials", select "API key" and then choose "Browser key" click "create" and copy the key go back to https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/youtube/overview click "enable" past the key in the YT plugin settings
