Hello, UPDATE - Solved this issue by changing the .tar extension to .spk . It appears that Microsoft Edge automatically saves the .spk as a .tar?! Still going to post in case anyone else encounters the same problem.
I have a problem with the manual install of the LmsUpdate package. Selecting the "LogitechMediaServer-armada38x-7.9.0-161.1086.tar" file from the 'browser', clicking Next leads to the error "Invalid File Format". I've tried unpacking the .tar file and selecting the unpacked items, but still no luck. Is this common? I'm a first time user of a new 216j. I've been following the instructions of the 1st post and successfully installed the Synology LMS 7.9.0 beta package, all working fine. I've downloaded the "216" DSM6 'LogitechMediaServer-armada38x-7.9.0-161.1086.spk' with Microsoft Edge.
