No idea! Finally after about 6 hrs of reinstalling OS - LMS - upnp plugin ... finally, I've got a basic working system again. There's some problem which kicks in between the LMS built-in bridge plugins and the repo ones. My final working system is using the stable repo. I had a copy of the previous upnpbridge.xml - copied this over - doesn't work ? - so, I've had to reconfigure the various players.
