thanks to all for the answer, there was (and probably is) an unsolved "crossfade problem with online sources" with 7.9 for a long time, that's why I'm insisting on 7.8 nightlies. I will give a try to 7.9 again, hopefully it's fixed. At the end I'm curious for the new Lastmix plugin.
