I use disaster123's ShairTunes2 and I had the weirdest bug yesterday, related to philippe_44's version:
The web player interface notified me that updates were available for my plugins. When I went to check, the plugin to be updated was philippe_44's version, which I never had installed in the first place. I did some quick research and concluded that maybe it was officially taking over disaster123's version (even though it's not a real fork, which I think is weird). Anyway, the ability to sync an airplay stream to multiple squeezeboxes was really interesting and since I stumbled here in this thread and saw it was recent and being actively developed and all, I thought I'd give it a try. It never worked (server spiked to 100% full-time, making it unresponsive and unusable), but that didn't really worried me; I'll just try in a few weeks, I'm not in a hurry. So I uninstalled it but never was able to reinstall disaster123's ShairTunes2 even though I had input the plugin's public.xml URL in the list of additional plugins. Once I unchecked the "Show all 3rd party plugins" at the bottom of the plugins list, all of a sudden disaster123's version reappeared and I could reinstall it finally. *TLDR*: If you check the "Show all 3rd party plugins" checkbox and have installed disaster123's ShairTunes2, there seems to be a clash somewhere and the server thinks that philippe_44's version is an update. Additionally, it hides disaster123's version from showing in the list of available plugins.
