That's good to know. For the benefit of other readers. The HLS streams have a MIME type and the PlayHLS plugin associated that MIME type with a transcoder using ffmepg/avconv to play the stream. Some users have reported less "rebuffering" when using ffmpeg/avconv to play live BBC streams.
