Please update the server to a recent 7.9 build if it's that old.

If iPeng could crash the server that's still pretty much by definition a
server bug... (such as it's still an iPeng bug if bogus data send from
the server crashes iPeng, something that's happened in the past, too).
The server should be be made crash from any request sent to it.

The log look unsuspicious to me. Some requests the server doesn't know
and ignores, that might be because of some functionality added since
that build or a missing or broken plugin (do you use Napster?).

iPeng can contribute to crashes because of load it creates during it's
operation but that should primarily be restricted to really huge current
playlists (iPeng loads the whole playlist). It also loads all of the
albums/artists and Genres but that should not cause an issue, the server
is made for these things and iPeng also caches the lists.
On artwork iPeng is pretty benign, only loading a max. of 3 images
simultaneously, some other apps create much more load here.

Artwork rescaling could be an issue. iPeng uses a different artwork site
than the server. iPeng's artwork should be created at scan time in LMS
7.9 and also cached but if you haven't run a Clear&Rescan since you
started using iPeng that might not be complete. If the server has issues
with some of your artwork it might crash trying to rescale it.

Excessive size of the artwork.db or cache.db are also issues that have
been haunting certain 7.9 versions for a while.
