We're planning a bare-bones get together sometime in Q3 here in Atlanta to discuss everything Plum.
It's going to be all content and no glitz, and we'll all just pitch in equally to cover a meeting room and lunch for the group, which is all we'll need since we already have the projector and everything else necessary to put on the meeting. Let's have a little bit of everything: * Developers can get up and show tricks and tips they've discovered that will help you develop Plum applications * We'll show some of the advanced techniques available in Plum, including a lot of the important stuff that most people either never try or don't even know exist * A deep discussion of Plum's internal workings * We'll announce the winners of the Dr. Pimpalishuss Plum Layout Contest (which we haven't even announced yet) * David and I will listen to everything you have to say about Plum and where it should go from here, we'll prioritize the list of additions and changes we come up with as a group, and we'll divide the list up into versions of the product (how's that for a customer-driven product?) Please help out by sending me ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) your answers to four questions: 1) whether you're interested in attending A Gathering of Plums, 2) the day of week you prefer, 3) the time of day you prefer to start, and 4) the duration in hours you'd like to go. The whole thing including lunch and handouts should come to between thirty and fifty bucks per head, and I'll see about discounted room rates in the hotel facility where the meeting will be for out-of-towners. I'll also try to find a hotel on the MARTA rail line so fly-ins can quickly go from the Atlanta airport to the hotel for only $1.75. There are some pretty cheap airline tickets on AirTran to Atlanta, too. So come to the very first Gathering of Plums where you'll learn, share, and guide the future of Plum.
