Folks, We installed Oracle 10g and got everything up and running, and we installed the 10g client alongside the Oracle 9i R2 client, and then tried to connect Plum to 10g. We got a different error than the one Tim Blankenship got, but that might be because we're running the 9i client as well and it's trying to find a 9i service to connect to instead -- I don't know, but it's going to take some time to work through this one and resolve it.
So we're going to have to fall back to our original position of supporting Oracle 9i R2 in this release of Plum, but we'll try to get Oracle 10g worked in as soon as possible after the final release. There's just not enough time left before the final release date to add another database to the supported list. We thought 10g support would be "just a jump to the left" from 9i, but apparently not. Well, we tried. Not now for 10g, but soon. If you can all still test Plum against Oracle 9i R2 then that would really help the testing effort quite a lot, and we appreciate all you can do along these lines. Thanks, everybody. :) Respectfully, Adam Phillip Churvis Member of Team Macromedia http://www.ProductivityEnhancement.com Download Plum and other cool development tools, and get advanced intensive Master-level training: * C# & ASP.NET for ColdFusion Developers * ColdFusion MX Master Class * Advanced Development with CFMX and SQL Server 2000 ********************************************************************** You can subscribe to and unsubscribe from lists, and you can change your subscriptions between normal and digest modes here: http://www.productivityenhancement.com/support/DiscussionListsForm.cfm **********************************************************************
