There should be only one directory.  This directory can be one directly underneath the web root (such as C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\plum3test), in which case, there should be no more web server setup required.  (You would still have to define a mapping, however.)
 
You could also put it outside of your web root (such as c:\plum3test), in which case you would have to define a virtual directory in IIS or a new web site in IIS.
 
Which one you choose is entirely up to you.

OK… I am going through the New Plum Wizard and I am at the page titled ColdFusion server mapping. On an earlier screen it had me create an application directory and I created C:\Plum3Test then later it wanted a web site created in IIS and I created C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\plum3test – should there only be one directory? If no then which one should I point the server mapping to, if yes should I drop out of the wizard and start over again or just back up?
