Look at the table nodes for the related tables: is there a relationship child node on them? If not then you probably don't have a relationship defined in your database, but you'd need one both in the database and in the Plum project. If you add it in the database, you can then synchronize your Plum project with the database, and synchronization should pick it up and let you add it to your Plum project.
