Hi Marwan, Marwan Saidi wrote:
Is there any listing of the fixes incorporated in RC2?
The changes are listed in the Plum Help file "Release Notes", fifth item down from the top.
Also, if we have projects created in RC1, what steps should we take to upgrade to RC2, if any? (Do we have to reinstall the framework or custom tags?)
This question really depends on whether you have made any customizations to the framework files (starter content, custom tags and components) in your project. If you haven't then you should be able to open your project (plum) file and reinstall the framework from the utilities menu. (I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAVING YOUR PROJECT SOURCE IN A SOURCE CONTROL PROVIDER BEFORE DOING THIS).
If you have made changes, then it can get messy. Adam and David do a good job of documenting the changes so you have an idea of where to look. What I do (and I have done this at least 20 times over the past year), is to generate a new dummy project, so that you can get all the latest framework files, etc. Then I use a file comparison utility such as Beyond Compare to check the changes between versions. This normally takes about an hour or two, but I am able to sleep at night.
