I would like to see several visual inicators added to the forms for the
next round. I am already doing this for one of my apps, but it would be
nice to have them inherent in the features.
DISPLAYLIST Tag
1. Some kind of indicator that a list is filtered. When you are drilling
up and down through lists, it would be nice to have a visual indicator
that a filter is in place for the list
(Application.persistentScope.tablecriteria NEQ "1 > 0"). I am thinking
of just changing my default label value in the list to do this, e.g.,
'User List (filtered)' or something like that.
2. I think it would be nice to have the queryResult.RecordCount
displayed on the list as an indicator of how many rows were returned for
a query. You gave me the gouge on how to do this also, but again, it
would be nice to include this.
3. Sortable Column Headers. I know the pulldowns provide more control,
but sortable list column headers is kind of a standard.
4. Some kind of bread crumb trail, similar to what you did for the
Forums app. Doesn't have to be traditional, but some way to drill up
mulitple levels without having to go through each one. Or...
5. An optional tree control that will eliminate the need for the
breadcrumbs.
FORM CONTROLS
1. Display of a message that indicates that' bold labels = required
fields' I have already modified my tags to do this so I don't have to
do it for every form.
2. Option to display the displayALinkToThisList/SearchForm at the top,
bottom or both. I know this is picky.
3. displayALinkToThisListLabel attribute, so we can rename the link,
instead of having them all say 'Back to List'. If you are in a
master-detail set 3 levels down, and you have 3 links that all have the
same label, it doesn't do much for the user.
4. Calendar control for date/datetime controls. I have a free cf tag
provided by Massimo Foti that is a wrapper around a nice dHTML
calendar that is a good starting point, if you are interested in
looking. BTW, The current DisplaySearchDateTimeControl doesn't work if
you suppress the time.
Thanks, Santa :)
