At this point, I have to assume Beta 1 is the issue.  I purged all traces of
the tutorial and started again.  Same errors on Beta 1.  I must have missed
the notice about Beta 1 missing things.

Plum works fine on the full CFMX7 release version, but it isn't supported in
Beta 1.  Lots of stuff is missing from MX7 Beta 1, IIRC, so you shouldn't
use it.

I don't know if your problem was related to that, though.
