My bad,
After I create a table in the project the table declaration
(<dbb:table name="Apps">) DOES NOT appear in the project xml file, only any
fk relationships I have created from that table (Apps) to an existing table
in the project (in this case PlumRole). This in turn causes the IDE to crash
when I select the fk table (PlumRole) that exists in the project from under
the database node. This problem can be solved by removing the orphaned table
(Apps) relationship xml records.
Anyone else noticed this?
The only way I was able to get the new table to appear in the
synchronization was to add a dummy column to one of the plum tables. Then it
picked it up. but I still need to add the table to the project via the add
table tool, I guess.
Why does it feel like I'm rambling?
John

and all that jazz
I added the table to the db.
I added the table to the project via the database node including primary
key, and a fk relationship with the PlumRole table.
I save the project.
I checked the project definition xml file and the table is in there.
I close the project.
I reopen the project, and the table is gone.
I checked the project definition xml file and the table is NOT in there.
Why does this happen?
Am I supposed to regenerate the code when I just add a table to the project?
It doesnt say anything about this in the help file.
I am confused.

Subject: [plum] Easy cheesy question
All,
Okay so I have created a new table in my db using the normal methods
(enterprise manager -- add table)
do I need to create the table in the plum ide as well, or should the ide
pick it up when I run "synchronize with database"? I thought that it was
supposed to pick up the table.
I have run this and it does not pick up that table, so I cant create a
module with that table.
I'm sure I have missed something easy, but I have looked at the help files
and cant find anything specific.
Any ideas?
thanks
John
