PLUM ROCKS! Do yourself a favor. Work through the tutorials, build a few forms with the IDE and then a few without the IDE.
Then, pick something the core files don't do that you wish they did. Study and modify one of the components/custom tags. Then build a page using none of the custom tags but staying within the "framework". Make sure you do some embedded search forms, and master/detail forms, both within the IDE and outside it. Spend a few weeks with PLUM and you will be amazed that productivity enhancement has not been purchased by Macromedia er I mean Adobe. The application I am working on now has 74 tables (I just counted them) and I am sure Adam and David work on sites that are quite complex and they always use PLUM. As for interace PLUM out of box is somewhat dull and can me prettied a bit using the stylesheets but it is acceptable for applications.
