Thanks to the code contributed by Oscar Saavedra, I have have added hot deployment to the admin portlet application fixing Pluto-107 just in time for 1.0.1 GA,. The portlet works like it did before except a 'Hot deploy XXX portlet application' link appears on the bottom of the page at the end of the deployment process. Clicking on that link reloads the data from the registry files and redirects the user to the new (or redeployed) portlet. The help file (help mode) of the Deploy War portlet has been updated to explain the new process.
I've run the admin portlet application through its paces a number of times with the new changes, but I'd appreciate any additional testing if you get the chance.
