The ConfigServices.properties file contained a value for portaldriver.info as pluto-driver/1.0.1-SNAPSHOT, which caused the version name in the Pluto portal to include the SNAPSHOT token. I fixed the file in SVN's trunk (portaldriver.info=pluto-driver/1.0.1) and checked it in. David said he will cut a new release with this change.
