Ilango-

i'm pretty sure the HackAthon is no-charge

just in case you can afford to go south
starwood is sold-out for those 2 weeks so you'll have to go to the marriott
https://www.marriott.com/reservation/rateListMenu.mi
marriott has rooms for 149.00 ..unless you're a senior or with the government

BTW: you'll also need a ride in from the airport (apparently there's no
mass-transit) which costs a min of 30$

With Warm Regards,
Martin

The Travel Assistance Committee is taking in applications for those wantingto
attend ApacheCon US 2008 between the 3rd and 7th November 2008 in NewOrleans.
The
Travel Assistance Committee is looking for people who would like to beable to
attend ApacheCon US 2008 who need some financial support in order toget there.
There are VERY few places available and the criteria is high, that aside
applications are open to all open source developers who feel
thattheir attendance would benefit themselves, their project(s), the ASF
andopen source in general.
Financial assistance is available for flights, accomodation and entrancefees
either in full or in part, depending on circumstances. It is intendedthat all
our ApacheCon events are covered, so it may be prudent for those inEurope and
or Asia to wait until an event closer to them comes up - you areall welcome to
apply for ApacheCon US of course, but there must becompelling reasons for you
to attend an event further away that your homelocation for your application to
be considered above those closer to
 theevent location.
More information can be found on the main Apache website
athttp://www.apache.org/travel/index.html - where you will also find a link
tothe application form and details for submitting.
Time is very tight for this event, so applications are open now and will endon
the 2nd October 2008 - to give enough time for travel arrangements to bemade.
Good luck to all those that will apply.
Regards,
The Travel Assistance Committee
