I don't think the disk contents matter, since it isn't being used in Solaris at all. I wanted it to shutdown to save power (obviously :) and prevent wear of a certain track due to a lack of head movement. Any experience in regards graphics card power management, assuming it actually relies on autopm, too? Specifically with the NVidia driver? Regards, -mg
