Hi, My laptop appears to support to two modes of CPU frequency/power operation. When I boot up on AC with no battery plugged in I get the fast mode. When I boot up on battery and no AC plugged in I get a low power mode with a speed of about 65% of the fast mode based on running a simple simulation test case.
Is there any application/driver in Solaris that allows me to monitor and switch between these two power modes ? I'm running 2008.11, b96. When running on battery and then plugging in AC the speed seems to stay in the low power mode. I would prefer to have the speed to change to the the fast mode in this case or have some way of manually change the mode. I need to unplug the battery and reboot to get back to the fast mode.
