I upgraded my OpenSolaris based Tecra M5 from build 118 to 123 over the
weekend. Now it sounds like the space shuttle. The CPU keeps pegging
itself at 100%, then calming partly down for a minute, then going back
to 100%. My wife won't let me leave it on unattended because she fears
a nuclear core meltdown.

Sebastien Roy apparently also sees this problem on different hardware
and showed my some power.conf settings that I might be able to use to to
set the power management algorithm back to "poll-mode", apparently the
old legacy mode. But I'd like to help collect any information you need
to get to the bottom of this issue.

The system acts like this when sitting basically idle.

Is there a bug report on this problem?

Thanks,
Paul
