Currently the ATI chips (all) do not support the suspend to ram
feature. The issue is the
DRI driver.
To test for support, look at the label on the chip. If its Intel or
nVidia it works.

I have a laptop with ati radeon 3200 HD graphics chip.
Am I correct in assuming that suspend to RAM is not supported
on this chip set? I read somewhere that ati is bad since they
don't provide much development driver support for solaris.
Is there any easy way I can test if a graphics driver supports suspend?
