Hi, I'm using Sol 10 U8 on a fleet of HP DL380 G6 (nehalem X5570) and DL385 G7 (amd 2435) servers. The application is turned off over the weekend so i was wondering about p-state power management.
kstat -m cpu_info only reports a single frequency on both of these servers (2.93ghz and 2.6ghz respectively). this link: http://www.sun.com/software/whitepapers/solaris10/solaris_on_xeon.pdf suggests that it's possible to do P-states on these processors. Is this really an option? Is it opensolaris only? or is something about Sun hardware? Any comments appreciated... -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ pm-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/pm-discuss
