When using powertop I'm told to do:

echo 1500 > /proc/sys/vm/dirty_writeback_centisecs
echo 5 > /proc/sys/vm/laptop_mode
mount -o remount,noatime /

We should probably do some of those in the low power scripts.

At the moment we do 2 seconds for laptop_mode and 500 for dirty
writeback. We don't touch noatime, but I don't think it can hurt.

Is there a clever bit of shell that can be used to remount _all_ fixed
disks noatime? Is this ever bad on a laptop?

Comments?

Richard.
