Hello, I use pmacct 0.11.1 under FreeBSD 6.1 with a PostgreSQL Database. Everything works at first sight. But if I compare the traffic (the bytes), pmacct writes in my Database, it differs from what ethereal shows under Statistics -> Conversations -> IPv4. Pmaccts data is always less than that what ethereal shows.
I tried a lot of different things, but nothing changes that problem. - I used softflowd in combination with nfacctd instead of pmacctd - I played with the aggregation rules (atm I just "aggregate: src_host, dst_host") - I dumped some traffic with "tcpdump -w", passed it to softflowd, pmacctd and ethereal. - I tried some voodoo practise ;-) Nothing helps, I'm completely dazed now :-( In my next life I will become a bricklayer ;-) Any suggestions?
