Hi Armin, Luca and others

regarding your comment about custom_layers:

I am deploying a web map using pmapper and probably the biggest
modification i am planning is to superimpose a couple of layers from
a separate mapfile onto the main map. our reason for this is that we
have layers that represent the real time positions of a fleet of
trucks - these need to be redrawn when the positions change. They
are drawn on a base map which needs to be redrawn only on zoom or pan
actions. at the moment they are all on the same map and everything
gets drawn, which works fine but we are interested in just updating
the smaller, quicker layers.

will keep you posted on our progress.

cheers
Gabe
