in p.mapper 1.9.5 you can add to the url
&dg=layer1,layer2
(in fact, if a layer belongs to a group you have to use the group name,as
this a general rule in pmapper when using groups/layers).
you can hack the initmap.php for version 1.1/1.2 to include the same
functionality there (it's at ~line 157 for pm 1.9.5).
or - more statically - you can use a setting with different config.ini files
and different 'defGroups' entries that you can specify via the URL,
&config=...'
