Luca,

in case you do not specify the wildcard search, the attribute search always
makes a non-exact search (like using wildcards at the beginning and the end
of the string), it means if you look for 

garib

you will find everything that has this string in it, like
via Garibaldi
v. G. Garibaldi

and so on. And the search is always case insensitive.
