I don't understand what you exactly want to do. The updateMap function 
is just the container for various kind of map creations. You can also 
specify a URL with "&zoomextent=" and specify the coordinates in map 
coordinates (in contrast to pixel coordinates) but still with Xmin/max 
and Ymin/max.
