Thanks Armin, it helped very much. Now I can get an attribute from my Oracle 
database and this is great. The only thing I still cannot figure out (maybe 
Toni can help :-) is that I get an "extra" column in my result table. For 
example, I set:

  METADATA 
    "DESCRIPTION" "Poslovni prostori"
    "RESULT_FIELDS" "ID,DESC"
    "RESULT_HEADERS" "Id,Desc"
    "RESULT_JOIN" "oci8://username:[EMAIL PROTECTED]||[EMAIL PROTECTED]@[EMAIL 
PROTECTED]||ID||1"
  END  # Metadata 

...I get the result table with correct header line (two fields), but the data 
record has three columns and the middle one is empty....it seems I have to play 
a little bit...
