Si vas a instalar pmapper instala la última versión (3.1), tienes que bajarte la version que esta en maptools.org junto con ms4w que tenga php 5 para que funcionen las busquedas. Tienes que modificar en el directorio config de pmapper el archivo config.ini, en este tienes que cambiar la ruta que hace referencia al archivo .map que contiene tus capas. Si todavia no tienes experiencia con los archivos .map ve a http://biometry.gis.umn.edu/tutorial/ En este mismo archivo haces referencia a las capas que estan contenidas en tu archivo .map Dentro de esta misma carpeta esta el directorio default alli vas a modificar el archivo php_config.php don de le haces referencia a las capas de tu .map. En teoria ya debiese funcionar con esos cambios.
