Check your mapscript and add "TEMPLATE void". For example:
LAYER
NAME "County"
TYPE polygon
DATA "County"
CLASS
Name 'County'
STYLE
COLOR 255 255 255
END
STYLE
SIZE 4
SYMBOL 'circle'
OUTLINECOLOR 0 0 0
END
TEMPLATE void
END
END
I found this problem can also be a misconfigured config.ini Compare the
origional
Europe pmapper and follow how the layers are grouped.

Dear List,
I refer to P.mapper 3.1 beta4, with MapServer 4(2.3.1) and PHP 5.2.6, on
Windows XP SP3, with IE and Firefox.
I've adapted pmapper_demo loading my data (shp and tiff), awesome all
works fine, but the query, with identify or autoidentify or search,
works only with point shape files, when I execute a query/search on line
or polygoin shape file it returns a new window with "No results"
message; I'm sure the layer contains objects queryable because I've
controlled them on a GIS program. I set correctly the METADATA of theese
layers in .map file, and the TOLERANCE is the same that for point shape.
Any idea to resolve this problem?
