Dear Armin,
Dear Pmapper - Users!

I am writing to all of You, because of a very strange problem occurred
recently.

Preface:
We developed a service that is so called “Riskwatch”
(http://bsdi.asde-bg.org/riskwatch_en.php) and it is a system
(aggregator), which monitors continuously, filter and extract disaster
news happened over the territory of Bulgaria in 20 - Bulgarian news
sites. We’ve implemented p.mapper application to use for displaying
geo-information related to these risk and disasters issues.
The application can be accessed here:
http://smes.asde-bg.org/map.phtml?language=en

The current version in use is 3.2.1.
We are using currently 5 layers, 3 of them are accessed by shape files,
but the first one “Administrative information” and the most important
“Disaster issues”, are accessed via OGR, namely .ovf –file to the MySQL
server.
The “Disaster issues” are 5 types, and for each separate ovf – file is
made.

The problem:
If You try to check by the info tool the properties of a settlement, OR
some of the disasters (for instance, check the properties over the red
dot of a flood, snowing, earthquake..) it’s stuck!

Very strange problem with these MySQL layers ..!!!

The Current configuration: CentOS 5 , Mapserver version:
php-mapserver-5.6.7 , PHP version: 5.3.3 , MySQL version: 5.0.77
The previous version of Mapserver, that worked ok, was:
php-mapserver-5.2.1 . This problem occurred, after the update the MySQL,
PHP and Mapserver to the current configuration.

Tracking the problem:
We’ve tried everything, like carefully checking the map-file – nothing
suspicious, when the application starts, obviously it reads all of
information from the MySQL ; The OGR-connection, debugging the ovf-file
by ogrinfo – the sql query returned successfully, it works! (Actually
the ovf-connection is working because we can see the graphical
representation of the features of layers.); In phpmyadmin application
the sql-queries works! ; Moreover, I’ve implemented the new
pmapper-4.2.0, you can find it here
http://maps.asde-bg.org/pmapper-4.2.0/ , but the problem still stands!!!
Finally, very interesting fact is that when You click several times on
some point of interest (for instance, there is a fire disaster, and
click by info tool) an empty table occurs, BUT with exact number of the
issues related to the point. I’ve made a screen shot showing the empty
table with 5 empty rows, for the corresponding earthquakes.

Where guys should be the problem!??????

In the Javascripts!??
The very interesting fact again is that when click several times by
info tool it returns the exact number of the issues but in empty rows.

Thank You very, very much in advance!!!

Sincerely Yours,
Miro, Radko.
