Yes, it's possible to define the sort/order via the SQL definition in the
search.xml file, like:

 <sql>SELECT DISTINCT proc_ano, proc_ano FROM p_obra WHERE proc_ano IS NOT
NULL ORDER BY proc_ano DESC</sql> 

However the result is not reflected in the drop-down list.

This means that's not possible to get the drop-down list sorted in
descending order?
