I've just had a try with this (sadly unsuccessful)
It's likely that the reason it didn't work was because I'd just upgraded
to PHP5.2.5 (doing this as a non-root user on a Solaris box seems to
lead to whole cascades of warning messages without actually failing to
build) and PmWiki-2.2.0-beta63.
However, there seems to be an error in the cookbook: where the page has
include_once("$FarmD/cookbook/includexml.php");
should it not be
include_once("$FarmD/cookbook/xml4pmwiki.php"); ?
