I don't know if this is related but I stumbled across a similar
problem some weeks ago.

In my case it turned out to be a CSS related problem: I used a
slightly modified version of the skin "maguila" [1]. Playing with the
CSS styles I resolved the problem. Unfortunately I can't remember what
I did specifically.

Have you tried to use the standard "pmwiki" skin?
