wow, that's weird.
funny the world of cross-browser compatibility
all the styling works fine in firefox, but only the font-weight of bold works in safari (and i don't have the others to check). anyhow, thanks for tips Radu and Hans. it's much appreciated. i'll keep testing and see if this is even something worth trying to implement.

The problem is that the form controls are handled differently in different browsers. e.g. In Firefox all works as styled; in IE6 and Opera only the color style works.

So all you have to do is modify the JumpBox code to take styles in options.

This JumpBox uses HTML input select control elements, and I think you
cannot style option labels different from each other.
I may be mistaken though.
