Thanks, Peter and Tegan! OK, I can fix this by including fmt=#title in the pagelist command, but that is a workaround.
I looked at my Site.PageListTemplates page, and I do not have a local PageListTemplate in my recipe wiki. I am not sure how to modify or fix the template anyways, and the PmWiki site advises against doing it anyways. So the question is, how do I form a template like that for my secondary wikis of my farm? I am perfectly fine with copying or linking to the SitePageListTemplates, but surely there have to be a name and a directory where such copy should reside, and I am not sure where it is. Any advice on that?
